When i was young, we turn right, cos we living in Jardine's Lookout 渣甸山; Today, we living in HK East, so we go straight, turn right, go pass Victoria Park, then drive to 東廊

東區走廊嘅興建，主要係為咗取代車流飽和嘅英皇道、筲箕灣道同埋柴灣道，成為連接東區同香港島中心地帶嘅主要通道。哩條公路喺1968年倡議興建，1976年展開咗詳細設計工作，並喺1978年至1981年期間開始填海同埋相關嘅工程，並且分成四階段嚟起，喺1989年先至全部起哂同埋通車。

銅獅子每隻重2250磅，擺放在香港的是第一對複製品；第二對複製品在英國倫敦金絲雀碼頭（Canary Wharf, London）的滙豐集團新總部大廈門前；第三對複製品則在上海浦東發展銀行於1997年獲得前上海滙豐銀行大樓的使用權後，照原樣鑄造了兩尊新銅獅置放在原位。上海浦東發展銀行曾希望將原品移回銀行大門前，後經協商，由浦東發展銀行出資重新鑄造，在仿鑄造過程中，出於對歷史的尊敬，原日軍破壞的鋸痕也一併保留呈現。
